Dental Implants in Korea Cost
What the Price Includes and What Costs Extra

Medically reviewed by Dr. Sunmin Kim, Board-certified Orthodontist · Last updated 2026-10-22

Dental implants are one of the main reasons people look at treatment in Korea. This article explains how much a dental implant costs in Korea at our clinic, what is usually included, what is charged separately such as bone grafting, and why the total plan matters more than the headline price.

How much does a dental implant cost in Korea?

These are the standard implant fees on our clinic's published price list in Seoul:

Prices in US dollars are approximate, converted at USD 1 = KRW 1,326 (exchange rate on 2026-10-22). Fees are the clinic's standard list prices and are the same for Korean and international patients. Your final quote is given after an in-person examination. Implant treatment is not a cosmetic treatment, so VAT is not added.
ItemKRWApprox. USD
Implant, per tooth (Osstem or Dentium, Korean brands)KRW 1,200,000about $905
Implant with a zirconia crown, per toothKRW 1,500,000about $1,131
Bone graft, per site (only if needed)KRW 200,000 – 1,000,000about $151 – $754

Whether you need a bone graft, and how much, depends on the condition of your jawbone, which we check on X-rays and a scan before quoting.

Why can implants in Korea cost less?

How treatment is organised and how many cases clinics see

Clinics in Seoul treat a large number of implant cases, and diagnosis, surgery and the final crown can often be handled in one clinic. This helps keep costs under control.

Choice of implant brands and materials

Korea makes its own implant systems, such as Osstem and Dentium, so clinics have more choice of brands and materials. Ask which system will be used, because it affects the price and future maintenance.

What is included, and what costs extra?

Often included

  • Consultation and examination
  • Placing the implant fixture
  • The abutment and the final crown (check which crown material)

Often charged separately

  • Bone grafting or sinus procedures when bone is lacking
  • Extractions and temporary teeth
  • Upgrading the crown material
  • Extra visits or follow-up after you go home
Tip: When comparing quotes, ask for every stage in writing: fixture, abutment, crown, grafting, and follow-up.

Why the total treatment plan matters

An implant is not finished in one day. After the implant is placed, the bone needs time to heal before the final crown is fitted, so most international patients make more than one trip. The cost of those trips belongs in your comparison.

  • How many trips will I need, and how long is each stay?
  • What happens if bone grafting is needed?
  • Who do I contact if something feels wrong after I return home?

Healing time and the need for grafting differ from person to person, and an implant plan can only be confirmed after an examination.

Frequently asked questions

At our Gangnam clinic, an implant with a Korean system (Osstem or Dentium) is KRW 1,200,000 per tooth, about $905, and an implant with a zirconia crown is KRW 1,500,000, about $1,131 (USD 1 = KRW 1,326, 2026-10-22). Bone grafting, if needed, is extra.
What does the implant price include?
It depends on the clinic. Ask whether the fixture, abutment and final crown are all included, and whether bone grafting, extractions and temporary teeth are charged separately.
Is it still cheaper after flights and hotels?
It depends on how many implants you need and how many trips the plan requires. Add up treatment, travel and accommodation for every trip before you compare.
How many trips do I need for implants in Korea?
Usually more than one, because the bone needs to heal before the final crown is fitted. The number of trips depends on your bone condition and plan.
