Who Speaks English at Ceramic Dental Clinic
(Hakdong Station, Gangnam)?

Medically reviewed by Dr. Sunmin Kim, Board-certified Orthodontist · Last updated 2026-11-08

At Ceramic Dental Clinic (Hakdong Station, Gangnam), the dentist in charge of your treatment consults with you directly in English, with no interpreter or coordinator in between. For orthodontics, this is Dr. Sunmin Kim, a board-certified orthodontist. For implants, gum care and porcelain veneers, this is Dr. Ilseop Ahn, a board-certified periodontist and specialist in advanced general dentistry. Before you travel, you can send photos of your teeth on WhatsApp or by email for a rough direction; the diagnosis itself is made after an examination in person.

Who will I talk to in English?

The dentist who examines and consults with you is the same dentist who treats you. The table shows the consultation languages stated on our website for each field.

Do I need an interpreter?

No. The dentist in charge explains the cause, the options, the duration, the limits and the cost directly in English, while showing you your test results on screen.

How does consultation before my trip work?

  1. Send photos. On WhatsApp or by email (1ceramicdental@gmail.com), send the photos closest to your concern: a front smile, a side profile, and your upper and lower teeth. You do not need all of them.
  2. Get a rough direction. From photos, we give you a rough direction and time frame. This is not a diagnosis.
  3. Book. Book on WhatsApp, by email, or by phone (+82-2-517-0002). Tell us which treatment you want; if possible, we schedule your first visit so you can also start treatment that day.
  4. First visit. Consultation, face and intraoral photos, X-rays and an intraoral scan, then an explanation on screen on the same day.
  5. Decide. You can start the same day or take time to think it over.

What does the first visit cost?

ItemFee
Exam (X-rays, photos, consultation)KRW 50,000
Exam with a CT scanKRW 100,000 in total

If you go on to start orthodontic treatment or veneers (CERANATE), the exam fee is included in the treatment fee. International patients pay the same fees as Korean patients.

What are the limits?

  • A photo consultation gives only a rough direction. The diagnosis, the number of teeth and the total cost are decided after the exam.
  • Results, the number of visits and schedules vary from person to person.
