Your First Visit: A Guide for Foreign Patients in Seoul
What happens on your first visit to Ceramic Dental Clinic?
At a glance
On your first visit, we listen to your concerns, do the tests you need, and then explain the cause, treatment options, duration, limits, and other choices while showing you the test results on screen. An orthodontic consultation, including face and intraoral photos, X-rays, and an intraoral scan, takes about 1 hour in total. You can also consult us with photos before you come.
Before you come
PHOTO CONSULT
Consult with photos first
Send us photos related to your concern, and we will first give you a rough direction and time frame. You do not need every photo. Sending only those closest to your concern among a front smile, side profile, and upper and lower teeth photos helps the consultation. An accurate diagnosis is made after the examination.

Things to think about before you come
Order of the first visit
- 1
Consultation & medical history
We ask about your concerns, medical history, jaw joint symptoms, and any previous orthodontic treatment.
- 2
Face photos
We take front, 45-degree, and side photos, with a relaxed face and a smiling face.
- 3
Intraoral photos
We record the condition of your teeth and gums.
- 4
X-rays (side, front, panoramic)
We check the position of the teeth and jawbones, the angle of the front teeth, and left–right asymmetry.
- 5
Intraoral scan
We save your teeth in 3D without taking impressions.
- 6
Explanation of results
We explain the cause, method, duration, limits, other choices, cases where treatment is not needed, and cost while showing you the screen. The tests and the explanation are done on the same day.
