How Do You Choose a Veneer Clinic in Gangnam?
8 Questions to Ask Before Any Tooth Is Reshaped

Medically reviewed by Dr. Sunmin Kim, Board-certified Orthodontist · Last updated 2026-11-08

Choose a veneer clinic by what happens before any tooth is reshaped, not by the price per tooth alone. Ask who checks the position of your teeth and your gums, how the amount of reshaping is decided for each tooth, whether you see the shape and shade in your mouth before bonding, who actually treats you, whether you get the total cost before you start, and what happens if a veneer chips after you fly home. Reshaped enamel cannot be restored, so these answers matter more than speed or price.

Why does the order of treatment matter?

If your front teeth stick out, overlap or are rotated, covering them with veneers means reshaping them as much as needed to hide the problem. In some cases, moving the teeth slightly first means less reshaping or none at all. If the gums are inflamed or uneven, the same veneer can look different on each side. So the first question is whether veneers are the right treatment at all.

What should I ask at the consultation?

The right column shows how Ceramic Dental Clinic (Hakdong Station, Gangnam) handles each point, as published on our website.

Question to askHow we handle it
1. Does anyone check tooth position before reshaping?A board-certified orthodontist checks tooth position before any tooth is reshaped.
2. Are my gums checked first?A periodontist checks gum inflammation and the gum line; gum treatment comes first if needed.
3. How is the amount of reshaping decided? It is calculated first on a 3D model. No-prep or minimal-prep is decided tooth by tooth, within the enamel wherever possible.
4. Can I see them before bonding? We try them in first and compare 6 shades in your mouth before bonding.
5. Who treats me?The dentist who consults with you treats you.
6. When do I learn the total cost, and what does it include? After the exam, before treatment starts, in writing. CERANATE is KRW 550,000–770,000 per tooth including VAT (The Petit KRW 550,000; One-Day and The Art KRW 770,000), the same whether the tooth is no-prep or minimal-prep. The per-tooth price includes 3D design, shade matching, bite adjustment, the 2-week check-up and regular check-ups, and the exam fee is included if you start treatment.
7. Will you tell me if I do not need it?Yes. For example, if whitening gives the color you want, or a small gap can be closed stably with resin.
8. What if a veneer breaks after I go home?Send a photo first and we tell you what to do. Repair or remaking needs a visit. Aftercare terms and costs differ by CERANATE type and are explained before treatment.

When might veneers not be the first step?

  • Front teeth that stick out, overlap or are rotated: orthodontic assessment first.
  • Gum inflammation: gum treatment first.
  • A lot of gum showing when you smile: the cause is diagnosed first.
  • Severe grinding or clenching: the bite and a protective appliance are checked first.
  • Large cavities or cracks: a front-tooth crown may be considered instead.

How much time should I plan?

CERANATE takes 2 visits. One-Day takes 2 visits over 1–2 days; The Art and The Petit take 2 visits over about 1 week. If orthodontics, whitening or gum treatment comes first, that time is added. We suggest leaving 1–2 spare days after the final bonding before your flight.

What are the limits and risks?

  • Reshaped teeth cannot be returned to their original state.
  • Veneers can chip, come off or feel sensitive for a while after bonding.
  • Staining or gum inflammation can appear at the margin, so regular check-ups are needed.
  • Results vary from person to person.

Frequently asked questions

What should I check first when choosing a veneer clinic?
Check what happens before any tooth is reshaped: whether tooth position and gums are assessed, how the amount of reshaping is decided for each tooth, and whether you can see the shape and shade in your mouth before bonding.
How much are veneers at Ceramic Dental Clinic?
CERANATE is KRW 550,000–770,000 per tooth including VAT: The Petit KRW 550,000, One-Day and The Art KRW 770,000. The price is the same for no-prep and minimal-prep, and includes 3D design, shade matching, bite adjustment, the 2-week check-up and regular check-ups. The total depends on the number of teeth decided at diagnosis.
Can veneers replace orthodontic treatment?
If your concern is the shape and color of your teeth, veneers can address it. If your teeth stick out or overlap, an orthodontist first checks whether partial orthodontics could reduce the amount of reshaping.
