About Dr. Kim

Dr. Sunmin Kim is the head director of Ceramic Dental Clinic, near Hakdong Station in Gangnam, Seoul. As a board-certified orthodontist, he has spent 16 years looking at teeth and faces. He trained in orthodontics as an intern and resident at Tokyo Medical and Dental University and earned his Ph.D. at its Graduate School of Medical and Dental Sciences.

Consultations in Japanese and English are handled by Dr. Kim personally.

How Dr. Kim Approaches Treatment

Not everyone who is bothered by their front teeth needs the same treatment. The cause may be the position of the teeth, or it may be their shape, color, or the gums. If the order of treatment is wrong, you may end up having more tooth reduction, or having to replace your prosthetics later.

That is why the directors in charge of orthodontics, gums and implants, and laminate veneers review each other's assessments together. Even for a veneer consultation, Dr. Kim, as a board-certified orthodontist, first checks the position of your teeth and your bite using intraoral photos and X-rays. If orthodontics is more suitable, if whitening or resin alone is enough, or if no treatment is needed now, we tell you so and explain why.

You do not have to decide on treatment right away. Before we begin, we explain the total cost and the aftercare you will need.
